Hattie Proctor, the daughter of Ira and Harriet Proctor, lived in Toronto during the 1890s. Since she was a boarder, it is unlikely that she was originally from the city. On May 28, 1900, she married Harry George Cook, a merchant, in Brighton, Ontario. The 1895 Toronto City Directory lists Hattie Proctor as a teacher of china painting, and during the 1890s, her work was shown at WAAC exhibitions. Hattie Proctor painted 12 cheese plates for the dinner service. |
