Then and Now
19 Iberville StreetThis is one of two houses built on a lot that Rosina Wright inherited from her father, Ruggles, between 1884 and 1899. The houses survived the Great Fire of 1900, after which they were rented out by their owners, Ludger and Daniel Coallier. The widow of Cléophas Bélanger was one of their tenants for several years. This building is typical of the workers' houses found throughout the island of Hull, and has changed little over the years, except for new siding and windows.
